What do mothers and their doctors have to say about MilkWorks?

Suzy,
I don't even know where to start. The help that you have given Emmet and I is more than I could have ever asked for. I remember coming in on Friday afternoon for my first appointment so overwhelmed and emotionally exhausted. I felt like a failure as a mother because I could not provide what my child needed. You took me in and were so calming. You gave me hope that I could actually have my dream of a breastfed baby.
It wasn't easy and was a lot of work, but we have come so far and I am confident now that we CAN DO IT! The work is not over and I know that, but at least I now know that little stubborn Emmett can latch and get what he needs from me! I will always be in debt to you for the health of my child. I can't thank you enough. So thank you, thank you, thank you!

Dr. Leeper,

Thank you so much! Malachi is doing wonderful; eating and growing! After 2 months of being exclusively bottle fed (with daily nursiDr. Leeper,

We had given it our best shot for 2 months and I had seen everybody I could think of who might be able to help. By that point I was desperate and about to give up when someone told us about MilkWorks Driving to Lincoln from Omaha was a last-ditch attempt for us and I really did not have much hope that it would help.

Our experience at MilkWorks was beyond awesome. You take the necessary time to spend with each patient and pay close attention to long complicated histories  For someone like me for whom nursing had only every been very stressful, painful and tear filled, you provided calm, compassion and hope along with unequaled knowledge and experience plus dedicated follow up. It is obvious that you care about the moms and babies you see and are passionate about your work. Without MilkWorks we would still be pumping and bottle feeding. Our pediatrician was very impressed with the detailed reports she received from you and was amazed to learn that Malachi is now nursing 100%.

You change lives for moms and babies. Thank you!

Courtney, mother of Malachi

“I was ready to give up on breastfeeding when I contacted your office for help…my daughter cried day and night and by the end of each day I was in tears myself and ready to give up.  Since my appointment with you, I followed your advice and now have a happy baby girl who is totally breastfed.  I am grateful beyond words for your help.  Breastfeeding my daughter has since been one of the greatest joys of my life.”

Jeanine Tomasek, new mother

“I want to let all of you know how much I appreciated all the help and advice you gave me with Tommy.  I am proud to say I successfully breastfed him for one year.  If it wasn’t for you and the fantastic services you provide, I probably would have given up.  I admire each one of you for what you do – and what you did for me and Tommy.”

Amy and Tommy

“Dr. Kathy Leeper and her staff have filled an important niche in the city of Lincoln when it comes to support of breastfeeding and lactation consultant services... without exception my patients have said that it has been a beneficial experience that has markedly helped their ability to breastfeed effectively.”

Donald L. Gibbens, MD, Obstetrician

“I want to express my appreciation to all of you at MilkWorks and the services that you provide.  I spent almost every day for the first two weeks of Ariya’s life at your center, got to know a lot of you there, and most importantly, I am successfully breastfeeding now after some very stressful times.  Though I was determined to give my daughter the best nutrition, if it weren’t for MilkWorks, I would have given up on breastfeeding:  I just didn’t think it was going to be possible.  I thank you so much for all of your support, assistance, and faith in me – Ariya thanks you even more!  I’ve even given my friends who live out of town your number because they aren’t as fortunate to have such a helpful place.  I thank you so much – you do wonderful work!!!”

Susan Pearce

“Thank you for your continued care for our moms/babies with breastfeeding difficulties.  Your help has been invaluable in supporting and teaching our patients so they can achieve their goals for breastfeeding their babies.  Well done!”

Jerry Black, MD, Holy Family Medical Specialities

“I don’t know how to thank you enough for all of the help and support I received from all of you.  I wish every mother had access to such a wonderful resource to help make breastfeeding a successful and rewarding experience.  I know that attending (mom’s) group helped ease my anxiety and made me much more comfortable in my new role as a mother.  Colin thanks you, too!  He has a brighter future ahead of him thanks to you!”

Sarah Jones, mother of Colin

“Many offices do not have the capability or desire to give the time consuming assistance you do.  I can be totally supportive of my patients who are breastfeeding but I am not in the right place at the right time very often to really assess what the problem is.  Also I am not able to keep up with the most current recommendations for problem resolution.  Every one of my patients who have contacted you have been very happy with your services and I know that you have kept women breastfeeding that would have quit without you. Thank you so much for being there."
