Breast pumps are not designed to replace breastfeeding
In most situations, they are not as effective as baby in removing milk and maintaining supply.  The effectiveness of any breast pump varies with each woman – depending upon her milk supply, the ease of her let down and her pumping needs.

Keep in mind that many women do not respond to a pump as well as to a baby, and it may take your body some time to get used to using a pump. If you have questions about using your breast pump or establishing and/or maintaining your milk supply, please contact us or visit the MilkWorks' Parent Information Center.
